- Certified seed ensures strong, disease-resistant plants.
Potato ‘Nicola’ is a high-quality variety prized for its firm texture and buttery, nutty flavour. It has smooth yellow skin and pale yellow flesh, making it perfect for boiling, roasting, steaming, and potato salads. The tubers hold their shape well during cooking and are a favourite for summer dishes.
‘Nicola’ is a mid to late-season variety that grows reliably in temperate and cool climates. It prefers deep, loose soil with good drainage and will benefit from consistent moisture and hilling during growth.
This indeterminate variety produces tubers along the stem. For better yields, cover the lower 70% of the stems with soil, straw, or compost as the plant grows. This encourages extra tuber production and shields developing potatoes from sunlight.
