Standard delivery does not guarantee that Australia Post will be used.
We may send your parcel with Australia Post or a suitable courier so that we can provide the most economical tracked delivery option.

Express Post

Australia Post Express Post may be available as a calculated option in the cart or at checkout. The price is based on your parcel and delivery postcode.

Express Post provides faster transit after dispatch. It does not provide same-day or priority order processing.

Orders selecting Express Post generally remain subject to our normal processing timeframe of approximately 2–5 business days. Selecting Express Post does not move an order ahead of other orders waiting to be packed.

Carrier delivery estimates begin after the parcel has been packed, dispatched and lodged with Australia Post. Customers requiring an order urgently should contact us before ordering so that we can advise whether the required timeframe is likely to be achievable.

Order Processing & Dispatch

Processing
Most orders are prepared and dispatched within 2–5 business days.
Tracking
Your tracking details are emailed after the parcel has been dispatched.

If you do not receive your order confirmation, please check your spam or junk folder before contacting us.

Processing may take longer during peak seasonal periods, major sales, public holidays or periods of unusually high demand. Processing time is separate from the carrier’s delivery time.

Tracking Your Order

All domestic parcels are sent with tracking. Tracking details will be sent to the email address entered with your order once the parcel has been dispatched.

Customers with a registered account can also log in to

Delivery Timeframes

Delivery timeframes depend on your location, the carrier used and current carrier-network conditions. Regional and remote deliveries may take longer than metropolitan deliveries.

Carrier delays can occur during Christmas, Black Friday, public holidays, extreme weather events and other peak periods. Once a parcel has been accepted by the carrier, the delivery timeframe is outside Seedmart Australia’s direct control.

PO Boxes & Parcel Lockers

Small and medium-sized orders sent through Australia Post may be delivered to an eligible PO Box or Australia Post Parcel Locker.

Courier parcels, oversized cartons, bulky orders and pallet freight cannot be delivered to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers. Please provide a physical street address for these orders.

If only a PO Box or Parcel Locker is supplied and the order cannot be sent through Australia Post, we may contact you to request a suitable street address.

Bulky Orders & Pallet Freight

Orders weighing more than 20 kg require a custom freight quotation. Depending on the order size and destination, we may use multiple cartons, specialist courier freight or pallet delivery.

Our Customer Service team will calculate an appropriate freight option and contact you with the quotation. Freight will not be arranged until the applicable shipping cost has been confirmed.

Pallet deliveries normally require:

  • A physical business or residential street address.
  • Suitable vehicle access to the delivery location.
  • A person available to receive the delivery where required.
  • A forklift or unloading facilities where tailgate delivery has not been included.

Additional carrier charges may apply for tailgate delivery, residential delivery, redelivery, waiting time, limited-access locations or unsuccessful delivery attempts.

Authority to Leave, Collection & Redelivery

If no one is available and the carrier determines that there is no safe place to leave the parcel, it may be taken to a nearby Post Office, parcel collection point or courier depot.

The recipient is responsible for collecting the parcel within the carrier’s stated collection period. Additional charges imposed by a courier for redelivery, address correction, storage or return-to-sender services may be payable by the customer.

Address Accuracy

Please check your delivery address carefully before submitting your order. This includes the street number, unit number, suburb, state and postcode.

Seedmart Australia is not responsible for delays or additional carrier costs caused by an incomplete or incorrect address supplied with the order. Please contact us as soon as possible if an address needs to be corrected. We may not be able to amend it after dispatch.

Domestic Quarantine & Biosecurity Restrictions

Seedmart Australia does not ship seeds to Tasmania.

We also do not knowingly send restricted, prohibited or non-permitted seeds to any Australian state or territory.

Seed importation requirements vary between Australian states and territories and may change over time. Some species, varieties or seed types may be restricted, prohibited or subject to additional conditions in particular jurisdictions.

It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm that the seeds selected are permitted to be imported into their state or territory before placing an order.

For Western Australia, Seedmart Australia may ship permitted seed orders weighing less than 10 kg. Orders to Western Australia remain subject to Western Australian quarantine and biosecurity requirements.

We reserve the right to remove restricted products from an order, request further information, cancel an affected item or order, or contact the customer where we believe a product may not be permitted for the destination.

By placing an order, the customer acknowledges responsibility for complying with all applicable state, territory and local quarantine, biosecurity and declared-plant requirements.

Seedmart Australia is not responsible for goods that are delayed, refused entry, seized, treated, returned or destroyed by quarantine, biosecurity or other government authorities. The customer is also responsible for any inspection, treatment, storage, redirection, return or disposal fees imposed by those authorities.
