Basil ‘Greek’ Herb Seeds

A pretty, compact, small-leafed basil growing into a domed shape. The vivid green, 1.5 cm leaves are very aromatic and have a robust basil flavour. Ideal for pots and borders, grows to about 30 cm in height.

How to Grow Greek Basil as Microgreens
Growing Greek Basil as microgreens is simple and rewarding. Follow these steps:
- Fill a shallow tray or container with coco coir, potting mix or use a compostable hemp grow mat.
- Sow rate: 28 grams for a 10 x 20″ growing tray.
- Do not pre-soak seeds.
- Evenly spread Greek Basil seeds over the surface of the soil.
- Water gently to moisten the soil.
- Cover for 4-6 days with tray lid. Store in well ventilated area away from light until the seeds germinate. Lightly water 1-2 times daily.
- Keep the soil consistently moist by misting with water as needed.
- After 12 – 16 days, when the microgreens have reached a height of 5-7 cm, they are ready to harvest.
- Harvest by snipping the microgreens just above the soil line with clean scissors or a knife.
