TURNIP ‘Purple Top Milan’
Botanical Name: Brassica rapa var. rapitera

An Italian heirloom introduced before 1888 with creamy white flat roots topped with purple. Excellent flavor, flesh is fine-grained, crisp and succulent, use roasted, boiled or mashed. The leafy tops are good steamed and they are high in carotene and calcium. This is a very hardy vegetable and easy to grow.
