How to Grow Ruby Chard Microgreens

  • Pre-Soak: No pre-soaking required.
  • Sow Rate: 2.5 – 3 grams per small, punnet-sized growing tray.
  • Growing Medium: Can be grown in soil or hydroponically.
  • Soil Method: Moisten soil and flatten to a depth of 3-4 cm in the tray.
  • Covering: Cover the seeds for 2-3 days with a tray lid or cover to promote germination. Keep in a well-ventilated area away from light.
  • Watering: Lightly water 1-2 times daily during the germination period. After uncovering, continue watering 1-2 times daily as needed.
  • Light: Once germination occurs, uncover and place in light for continued growth.

Harvest:

  • Harvest approximately 7-12 days after sowing, when the microgreens reach a height of 5-7 cm. Cut just above the soil line for best results.
