How to Grow Tatsoi Microgreens

  • Sow Rate: 5 grams per small, punnet-sized growing tray.
  • Pre-Soak: No pre-soaking required.
  • Growing Medium: Suitable for soil or hydroponic growing methods.
  • Soil Method: Add 2-3 cm of soil to the tray and level it out evenly. Moisten the soil before sowing the seeds.
  • Sowing: Sprinkle the seeds evenly across the surface of the soil, then lightly water to ensure good seed-to-soil contact.
  • Germination: Cover the tray with another tray or lid to create a humid environment for the seeds. Keep the tray in a warm, dark location until the seeds germinate, typically in 2-3 days.
  • Watering: Lightly water 1-2 times daily. After germination, uncover and move the tray to a well-lit location. Continue to water as needed.

Harvest:

  • Harvest in 10-14 days, when the microgreens are 5-7 cm tall. Cut just above the soil line for optimal freshness and flavor.
