An open-pollinated tomato bred to produce compact, easy-to-maintain dwarf tomato plants. The sweet fruit is small, round with deep crimson flesh, and dark, chocolate-colored shoulders when ripe. A determinate type that crops heavily on sturdy plants, an excellent choice for containers and where tall stakes would be a nuisance.

Sow When:

  • Temperate: Early spring – inside with extra heat; outside after frost danger has passed
  • Subtropical: March – October in frost-free areas
  • Tropical: March – October in frost-free areas

Germination: 7 – 14 days

Depth: 6 mm deep

Position: Full sun; requires staking

Sow Where: Into seedling pots; liquid feed once germinated

Soil Type: Fertile, well-drained, pH 5.8 – 7

Rows: 90 cm apart
