Start by moistening and flattening the soil in your tray, then cover with a lid for 2-3 days to support germination in a dark, well-ventilated area. Water lightly once or twice a day to keep the soil just moist.
Once germinated, remove the cover and place the tray in a well-lit area, continuing to water lightly 1-2 times daily.
