Ishikura Winter Long is a Japanese heirloom, bunching onion variety that is vigorous and fast growing. This variety does not have bulbs, but has long, slender white stalks (up to 40 cm) and green leaves that grow up to 35 cm. The white stalks and green leaves can be eaten raw or cooked.
