How to Grow Colour Mix Chard Microgreens
- Pre-Soak: 4 – 6 hours.
- Sow Rate: 3 – 4 grams per small, punnet-sized growing tray.
- Growing Medium: Soil preferred. Cover with a layer of soil to help dehull the seeds.
- Soil Method: Moisten soil and flatten to a 3-4 cm depth in the tray.
- Covering: Cover the seeds for 2-3 days with a tray lid or cover to promote germination. Keep in a warm, well-ventilated area away from light.
- Watering: Lightly water 1-2 times daily during the germination period. After uncovering, continue watering 1-2 times daily as needed to keep the soil moist.
- Light: Once germination occurs, uncover and place in light for continued growth.
Harvest:
- Harvest approximately 14 – 21 days after sowing, when the microgreens reach a height of 5-7 cm. Cut just above the soil line for best results.
